Pretty doesn't book appointments. This page has one job: get a stranger from a tap on Instagram to a paid deposit. Every block either moves them toward the button or answers the question that stops them.
Know who's tapping. Someone after a first small piece and a collector planning a back piece need different proof. Build for the client you want more of, and pull your reviews, photos and FAQ from what those people actually ask you.
Read order: headline, button, proof. Big to small, left to right, top to bottom. Put the stuff that books people in that path.
Anything that doesn't help someone book comes off. Logo, three links, one button. Every extra link is a door out.
The book button sticks to the top as they scroll.
Who, where, what style, how to book. If they have to scroll to learn that, they're gone.
Headline says what they get, in the words they'd search. Match the post or ad that sent them. "Custom blackwork in Missoula" beats "Welcome to our studio".
Numbers up top. Rating, review count, years in. Proof before they think to ask.
Photo: your best healed piece or you at work, darkened about 50% so the text reads.
Pick reviews that name a result. "Fixed my old cover-up" and "healed perfect" do work. "Great vibes" doesn't.
Show why you're safe to sit with: licensed, health-department inspected, single-use needles. Only what's true for you.
One short video from a real client beats ten text reviews.
"[Specific result in the client's words. What they came in worried about and how it turned out.]"
"[Second review. Different worry: first tattoo, pain, price, a cover-up.]"
Filter by style so a blackwork person never scrolls past ten color pieces. Six to nine pieces. Mark the healed ones; fresh ink all looks good.
Photos are the heaviest thing on the page. Compress them, serve WebP, and load the lower rows only when someone scrolls to them. Slow page, gone visitor, especially on cell signal.
Button under the grid. That's where reading stops.
First-timers don't book because they don't know what happens next. Three steps. Deposit amount stated up front.
Sell what they walk out with, not what you include. "A design drawn for your body" beats "free consultation".
Placement, size, a few reference photos. Two minutes, no account.
A real price range by text within [X hours]. Pick a date that works for you.
Comes off your final price. Your design is drawn before you sit.
"[X] years, Japanese" is a fact. "Your cover-up won't look like a cover-up" is why they book.
A real face. Three sentences. Then the button.
[One line on what you're known for.] [One line on how a session with you goes.] [One line on the kind of work you want more of.]
The questions people DM and then ghost on. Answer with real numbers. "Starts at [$]" filters out tire-kickers and saves your reply time.
Every field you add costs you submissions. Name, phone, idea, placement, size, budget range, photos. Stop there.
Labels above, an example inside each field, so nobody guesses what you want.
Button says what happens: "Request your spot". Never "Submit".
Tell us what you want. You'll get a real quote and open dates by text, not a "DM us for pricing".
This is where most clicks die. Reply before they ask the next shop: auto text in minutes, quote, deposit link, calendar.
Address, hours, map and phone help local search and tell people you're real.
One last button for the people who read everything. They're your most serious leads.
